The virtual card is free and available as soon as you complete identity verification.
How to activate it
- Go to Cards → Create virtual card.
- Accept the terms.
- Done. You can now see the number, expiry date and security code.
Where you can use it
- Online purchases in Argentina and abroad
- Subscriptions and digital services
- In-store payments via your phone’s wallet (by adding it to your device wallet)
Viewing card details
Go to Cards and tap Show details. We ask for your passcode or biometrics every time, for security. You can copy each field with one tap.
Single-use cards
For purchases on sites you don’t fully trust, generate a disposable card:
- Cards → New single-use card.
- Set a spending cap.
- Use it. It self-destructs after the first purchase.
You can have up to 5 single-use cards active at once.
Purchases abroad
Foreign currency purchases are converted to pesos at the exchange rate on the day the transaction settles, plus any taxes required by current regulation. The breakdown is shown in the transaction detail.
Freezing the card
If you suspect misuse, tap Freeze on the card screen. It blocks all spending instantly and is reversible. You don’t need to cancel the card.
Regenerating details
You can regenerate your virtual card number at any time from Cards → Regenerate details. This invalidates the old number, so you’ll need to update your subscriptions.
