Instant transfers are irreversible. We cannot unilaterally reverse them. But there are steps that do help.
What to do immediately
- Go to Activity and open the transfer.
- Tap Report incorrect transfer.
- Fill in the form explaining the error.
What we do
We open a return request with the receiving institution. This means:
- Contacting the institution holding the destination account
- Asking them to reach the account holder
- Requesting their authorisation to return the funds
The return depends entirely on the destination account holder authorising it. We cannot compel them or debit their account.
Timelines
- Initial response from the receiving institution: up to 10 business days
- Full resolution: up to 30 business days
We’ll notify you of status changes in the app.
If the holder doesn’t authorise
If they refuse or don’t respond, the route is judicial. You can request a certificate detailing the transaction to present in court or in a police report. Request it from within the same claim.
If you suspect a scam
If you were deceived into transferring, file a criminal report in addition to this claim. See the article on scams.
How to avoid it next time
- Read the account holder’s name on the confirmation screen
- Save frequent contacts in the app’s address book
- For large amounts, send a ARS 1 test transfer first
