Instant transfers are irreversible. We cannot unilaterally reverse them. But there are steps that do help.

What to do immediately

  1. Go to Activity and open the transfer.
  2. Tap Report incorrect transfer.
  3. Fill in the form explaining the error.

What we do

We open a return request with the receiving institution. This means:

  • Contacting the institution holding the destination account
  • Asking them to reach the account holder
  • Requesting their authorisation to return the funds

The return depends entirely on the destination account holder authorising it. We cannot compel them or debit their account.

Timelines

  • Initial response from the receiving institution: up to 10 business days
  • Full resolution: up to 30 business days

We’ll notify you of status changes in the app.

If the holder doesn’t authorise

If they refuse or don’t respond, the route is judicial. You can request a certificate detailing the transaction to present in court or in a police report. Request it from within the same claim.

If you suspect a scam

If you were deceived into transferring, file a criminal report in addition to this claim. See the article on scams.

How to avoid it next time

  • Read the account holder’s name on the confirmation screen
  • Save frequent contacts in the app’s address book
  • For large amounts, send a ARS 1 test transfer first
